FAQ: Important Unified Branding Update
1. Will MIAT Canton be rebranded to UTI Canton?
Yes, effective 10/31/24
2. Will MIAT Canton students and alumni be issued new UTI student credentials?
Yes, between Friday, 11/8/24 – Monday, 11/11/24, Houston alumni will receive their newly assigned @student.uti.edu credentials, sent directly to their personal email address on file.
3. Will MIAT Houston alumni be issued new UTI student credentials?
Yes, between Friday, 11/8/24 – Monday, 11/11/24, Houston alumni will receive their newly assigned @student.uti.edu credentials, sent directly to their personal email address on file.
4. When should MIAT students have their newly assigned UTI student credentials setup?
It is very important that all student’s setup their newly assigned UTI student account no later than Friday, 11/15/24. Students will use their newly assigned @student.uti.edu email address and password to login to the following:
- Email: UTI Student Account
- Student Portal: UTI Go
- Financial Aid: Document Portal
- Online Education: Canvas or Blackboard
- and more!
5. Will MIAT students lose access to their MIAT student account and credentials?
Yes, between Friday, 11/8/24 – Monday, 11/11/24 MIAT Canton & Houston students and alumni will no longer have access to their @students.miat.edu email account and credentials. It is important to check your personal email address and setup your new UTI student account right away! All applicable communications will be forwarded for an extended period to the new @student.uti.edu student account.
6. What UTI Go Persona should student’s login to as of 11/8/24?
- Future Student: Enrolled students whose start date is in the future.
- Current Student: Enrolled students actively training on-site.
7. What happens if students don’t receive their new UTI student credentials by 11/12/24?
Students should contact the Student Services Department for additional assistance and stay resourceful to make this transition as smooth as possible.
8. When should students call the UTI Services Desk?
Please refrain from immediately calling the UTI Service Desk unless it’s an urgent issue. Most answers about UTI’s unified branding and newly assigned UTI student email accounts are in the resources provided to you.
FAQs
Initial setup for UTI Student email?
- Post enrollment, all new students will receive a communicaiton sent directly to their personal email address including their assigned student email address, temporary password and link to create and access their account.
- Upon first login, students will be required to change their password and authenticate their account using a phone number and/or personal email address.
- Once these credentials are setup, students can access their UTI/MMI/NASCAR Tech student email account and student portal, UTI Go where they will find access to important resources and information.
