R2D2 Flight for April 20th GSBC Balloon Launch. 122,740 Feet in Altitude ( 34411.15 Meters ) or 23.24 Miles. Global Space Balloon Challenge flight to 122,740 ft. successfully recovered in Angola, Indiana. Launched on April 20th 2014, at 9:30 am and was recovered at 5:30pm. It was flown by the AHP/AMT Fraternity members and funded by MIAT. Troy Hammond, AHP/AMT Fraternity President at MIAT, installed cameras in R2-D2 to capture HD video of the entire flight from four different angles. Including, two horizontal, one vertical, and one external camera. Included inside the payload package, were sensors which measured barometric pressure, pressure altitude, lux light levels, humidity, and temperature.
