R2D2 Flight for April 20th GSBC Balloon Launch. 122,740 Feet in Altitude ( 34411.15 Meters ) or 23.24 Miles. Global Space Balloon Challenge flight to 122,740 ft. successfully recovered in Angola, Indiana. Launched on April 20th 2014, at 9:30 am and was recovered at 5:30pm. It was flown by the AHP/AMT Fraternity members and funded by MIAT. Short video highlighting the very first test flight with lab assistant, Holly Arnold, and AHP/AMT Vice President, Mike Lepine. This flight was launched from Colon, MI in September of 2013 reaching a test altitude of 113,488 ft. The payload landed 1/8 of a mile from downtown Clinton, MI.
