Born for Aviation: Anita Harold’s Journey From Mechanic to Instructor | UTI

Anita Harold was practically born into the aviation field. Her father's profession as an aircraft mechanic sparked her interest in the field. Anita learned to fly at a young age. In fact, by the time she graduated high school, she already had her private pilot’s license and instrument rating! A few years later, she added a commercial pilot’s license and a flight instructor certificate to her resume. Her credentials are impressive and her background in the field provides a rich resource for her students, allowing them to learn from her career.“I like to give them a really good idea as to what they might actually see based on my experience,” says Anita. Her favorite part about teaching? Her students and the ability to pass along her expertise.“We get to pass knowledge on so they aren’t starting from ground zero, they actually have a place to build from,” she adds.Watch the video to hear what Anita has to say about the career opportunities after completing an aviation technician training program!*For more information regarding the aviation training programs at Universal Technical Institute, visit https://www.uti.edu/programs/aviation.For additional information into specific courses, tuition and admissions, see the course catalogs at https://www.uti.edu/programs/catalogs.For more examples of how Universal Technical Institute has shaped the careers of many of today's technicians, visit https://www.uti.edu/why-uti/graduate-stories.To find the nearest UTI school near you, visit https://www.uti.edu/locations.To stay up to date with some of the latest news regarding UTI, join us on social media.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/UTI/ X (formerly Twitter): https://x.com/utitweet Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uti.tech/*UTI and MIAT aviation maintenance programs prepare graduates to apply and test for FAA mechanic certification.
