Tony advises aspiring technicians to work hard and pay attention in school. Tony says he never missed a day of class.If you can, Tony says, get a job in a shop while you're in school. Today, he's a technician at Team Penske, living out his childhood dream of working with something fast and doing something out of the ordinary.Wyatt took auto shop for two years in high school. After hearing a talk from a Universal Technical Institute (UTI) representative, he decided to work in the automotive field.He attended the core automotive program at UTI in California. Wanting something more, he headed to NASCAR Technical Institute to study NASCAR training. Wyatt says the connections at NASCAR Tech are unreal. Everybody knows somebody in whatever area you want to go into, from NASCAR to an auto dealer.Wyatt says trade school is the future and encourages teens and young adults to face their fears and go after their dreams. Wyatt says if you work hard enough, keep your head down and keep going, you'll get there.There's always something you can get into, Wyatt says.
