Well, about as close as it gets."It started when I had my AC put in at my old house and I really liked it," he said. Intrigued by the process, he shadowed the installer, and before long, fell in love with the profession. It wasn't long after that he found himself enrolling at a school he'd come to appreciate greatly.*“I’ve been doing it for three years now and I love it,” he proclaims. He’s currently employed at Technical Hot and Cold as an HVAC technician, working on furnaces and AC units.Bosman’s time in the HVACR Technician program was nothing short of transformative. This program equips students with the necessary skills to secure jobs in various fields including wind turbine technicians, energy technicians, operators, boiler operators as well as diesel,” Ken says.*Ken’s journey into this field wasn’t linear. In fact, he had a couple of other career paths before this one. He dabbled in various manufacturing jobs after leaving the military but none of them were the right fit for him.After completing his education at MIAT, he was asked to stay on and teach. Having completed an Aviation Maintenance training program there's no denying that it's played a pivotal role in shaping his 20+ year career in the industry.Despite being in aviation for over two decades, Richard's passion hasn't waned. There was a time when he had to pivot into a new industry due to an injury. He took a role in engineering, working at Robert Bosch in the Environmental Testing facility where he was responsible for testing products. However, fate had other plans. After earning his bachelor’s degree, a position opened up at Endeavor Air, and he found himself back in the field he loves.Reflecting on his journey, Richard shares, "Coming back here is like a treat. I love aviation. I love these guys I'm around. I never ever in my wildest dreams thought I would be back in aviation, but here I am."Richard attributes his success to his aviation training program.
